Even if there has ... ( 5 days ago by Hecky77777)
Even if there has been small progression in the fossil record, have we found these small progressions ? like in humans ? why haven't we seen these transitional forms, I've read his book and his argument isn't weak.

I've got a surprise for you: We _have_ found transitionals. And not only small progressions, we have found intermediates for almost every major evolutionary step in the last 400 million years.
Really wow, so is ... ( 4 days ago by Hecky77777)
Really wow, so is there one for the humans ? ie from monkey to human and also from what we were before monkeys ---> to monkeys ? interesting.

There are plenty of transitional fossils leading up to homo sapiens, yes.
In fact, if you ... ( 4 days ago by CapnOrdinary)
In fact, if you watch the whole series, there's one episode where I go through them all.

In that case, why don't you have the 4 or so trillion pounds on offer from Mr.Yahya ?
I quote from one of ... ( 4 days ago by Hecky77777)
I quote from one of Mr. Yahya's sources: "The transitional forms that evolutionists expected to find in the fossil record- and which might be regarded as proof that species evolved from one another-have not been found. Fossils emerge suddenly and with all their particular features fully present, and the fossil record demonstrates that no species experienced any process of gradual change leading to its eventual disappearance...

(contd.)..This book deals with the third of these scientific developments which have undermined the theory of evolution-the fossil record. Before moving forward, we need to stress that the absence of transitional forms from the fossil record is by itself sufficient to undermine the whole theory of evolution. Charles Darwin, the founder of the theory, actually admitted the truth of this! After inquiring into the absence of such forms, he wrote that...

(contd.)..."this, perhaps is the most obvious and gravest objection which can be urged against my theory."

"In that case, why don't you have the 4 or so trillion pounds on offer from Mr.Yahya ?"
Because by mr. Yahya's definition of a transitional form, the actual transitionals are not transitional. Or, in other words, because mr. Yahya has made up his own definition and is clearly not a scientist.
You might want to ... ( 3 days ago by CapnOrdinary)
You might want to read the book that mr. Yahya is quotemining here. It's called "On the Origin of Species" by Charles Darwin. Also, the theory and the science of evolution has moved forward by leaps and bounds since 1859.
Also, mr. Yahya is simply wrong when he claims there are no transitionals. There are. He just doesn't understand what the word "transitional" means.
According to ... ( 3 days ago by Hecky77777)
According to evolution "all populations of organisms are in transition" (wikipedia), if thats the case why does Mr.Yahya show fossils that haven't changed from hundreds of millions of years.I think he claims to have in the region of hundreds of millions of these fossils.
and just who are ... ( 3 days ago by damianpoirier)
and just who are you to determine what constitutes transition? If the skin becomes more impervious to infection this is evolution. If the plumage becomes more attractive to a mate, this is evolution. If the size or efficiency of the brain increases, this is evolution. The are many changes which involve no alteration to the skeletal form. We are not astonished to find skeletal similarities.
These millions of ... ( 3 days ago by Hecky77777)
These millions of fossils are identical to the organisms today. If your not astonished to find skeletal similarities then you should be astonished about the skeletal difference from a living thing in the sea to Humans today.According to your last assertion, we should have never evolved especially in the skeletal sense.
individuals don't ... ( 3 days ago by damianpoirier)
individuals don't evolve, populations do. Populations diverge in location, they speciate and diverge again, this process yeild wildly divergent species some of which have remained in their original environment.

An individual is a component of a population, just as a herd is to a cow.

No what I am talking about is summed up by my previous message: According to evolution "all populations of organisms are in transition" (wikipedia), if thats the case why does Mr.Yahya show fossils that haven't changed from hundreds of millions of years.I think he claims to have in the region of hundreds of millions of these fossils.
wow, circle time. ... ( 3 days ago by damianpoirier)
wow, circle time. What part of "evolution doesn't force change, it allows change" is too hard for you to understand?
So what allowance ... ( 3 days ago by Hecky77777)
So what allowance did it give for the hundred or so million fossils Mr yahya has ? which indicate no change.Even those organisms are subject to environments similar to any organism where there is danger from predators and survival of the fittest etc.
it is not survival ... ( 3 days ago by damianpoirier)
it is not survival of the fittest. It is the demise of the least fit. If you are adequate you are adequate. If you can reproduce, you are adequate.
